Location: A secret test track for the Volkswagen/Audi group in northern Scandinavia.
Temperature: -25C
Mission: To find and shoot the new Lamborghini supercar.
So, here they are: the very first spy shots of the successor of the mighty Lamborghini Murcielago. Rumored to be called Jota, this hot supercar was taking some of its very first steps earlier this week and we have been chasing it ever since. After several days of observation got the chance where waiting for, and now can show you the photos. The size looks about the same as on the Murcielago but this monster is expected to be much lighter and together with an even more powerful V12 with direct injection, rumors are talking figures around 700 horsepower, this one will be a hard nut to crack for the competitors. The Jota will switch to an aluminum space frame instead of the current steel tub frame. The body will take some influence both from the Reventon and the Estoque, and most body parts will be made of carbon fiber. Roof and doors will probably be made from aluminum. Of course the Jota will be four wheel drive, and some of the rumors are talking about a new four wheel drive system that the Swedish company Haldex is developing together with Lamborghini.
